Hey guys. My v6 has a rough idle. When driving it, it runs ok, until I hit about 2500-3000 rpm and it gets all boggy and loses all power. Once it gets top end it takes off again. Its got like a bad hesitation or misfire almost. Does anyone have any idea what it could be ? Is there any common problems like this for these motors ?
I just replaced the distributor cap/rotor and no difference yet.
Note: When replacing the dist. cap I noticed two of the screws are snapped in half inside the motor so there is only one screw holding it on. Its really tight, but still not all are in...Could this have anything to do with it ?

Yes mazdas have this problem called distributor....
My buddies MX-3 did the spitting and sputtering at low rpms and then kicked good after bout 3000....

I told him to replace the dizy and the car ran fine for a long time...
