Does any one know how to remove the frames from around the windows? I'm a huge fan of the style, and i have seen MX-3s without them. What all would be required to do this?

Get yourself a saw of some sort or a plasma cutter and have yourself some fun!

The only mx3's you've seen like that are photoshops, not real cars.

My sisters ex-boyfriend had one w/ no frames when he went over to Edmonton. He later traded it for a truck, so i cant track it if i tried.
I though it was cool, but now, two years later, i just picked myself up a black MX-3 (95, GS) I thought that would be a good mod to start w/.
If any one has any leads or pics or anything, i'd love to see it again, to take another look before i go rambo on my doors.

Sounds like a tremendously bad idea to me.

Im not going to lie, I love the look of doors w/o the frame all the way around it (mustangs and probes have it like this) makes the door look ALOT cleaner...however this is a considerable amount of work to convert it. You will either have to get new glass, weld a bunch of metal in, or both.

if you were to use the search, we have gone over this before. Cutting is the easy part... Getting the glass to seal at the top has yet to be done. Our windows roll up into the seam.. any targa style do not. If you are happy keeping your windows down all the time, then do it. either way you should search and see the fail list of the last time this was brought up. Don't forget you will have to compensate for the lack of support.. yay welding the chasis on the sides and below.

How would that really work? I think the window kinda has to be designed to sit on its own.. Plus You have to fill a giant gap. And if you are saying chop the frame and then put it onto the car frame what a waste.. My friends neon has no window frame and makes it easy to pop the window out and break in.
