MX-3 V-6 Head Issue

Hello, this is my first post on the forum since I now own a MX-3, I am in need of some assistance though. I bought the MX-3 V-6 with a head issue which is common with MX-3's due to the radiator angle just like the RX-7's (Loyal Fan). I did notice the spark plug caps on the front cyclinder have been fused to the head and a bit of green coolant leaking from the front head. I am assuming this will be a warped head on the front, the rear head looks fine and no trace of problems.

My question is can I plain the head in the front if it is warped? Will that do the trick?

Also since the front head was so damaged should I follow through with a treatment to the rear head as well?

I live in Denver if there is anyone viewing this thread in the area please let me know.

Wow, that sounds bad, and not typical that I know of
You can plane the heads a little without it messing up the cam timing.
While you're at it, you can now shave them more, for higher compression, since there's a guy on here having adjustable cam gears made.

Mx-3's radiator doesn't sit on an angle like an Rx-7, it sits standing up.

Radiator angle? Head issues? Are you sure you got an MX-3?

What I'm surprised about is that no one has recommended putting a ZE/DE in! That's what I'd do! Don't work on a K8.... especially a screwed K8 lol

Well, we would, but it almost sounds like he doesn't have an Mx-3

If you warped the heads pretty bad, I would be concerned with the block being damaged also. IF you have an MX-3, it's swap time. Definitely easier and more cost effective to swap than rebuild. (Trust me.... I learned the hard way.... but learned nonetheless!).

I'll sell you my cylinder heads from my k8. Check my worklog, they were recently resurfaced and pressure checked for valve leakage (all good). These were never damaged from overheating. Where do you live? I could take out the cams to lighten them up for you for shipping if you want. I would even throw in the head gaskets I put on them. :)

every engine is subject to head warpage/problems. its inevitable, heat always wins.
