brake light won't go off

i took it to the shop and they change the brake switch now the brake light won't go off and it draining my battery

There's a bunch of stuff to check..


Check the float in the resevoir. Poke it with your finger.. While you're there check if the fluid is up to the right level.

pop off your arm rest. (four screws, phillips, easy peasy) check to make sure that the ground there is operating correctly. Push it a few times and listen for the relay under the passenger side dash to click. (ignition must be "on" position.

no clicky=bad relay/wiring to relay.

Regardless, all lights should go out when you turn the car off. Not sure how any dash/warning light could drain a battery.

I read it as his rear brake lights were staying on and that definately would drain a battery! the only thing I can think is that the pedal is sticking? what is this brake switch they replaced?

Oh, I never thought of that, that makes sense.

Yeah, check the pedal switch. I'm sure there are more sensors, but I'm not sure where they are...

about 5 days ago they replace the switch under the brake pedal.
on Saturday i disconnect the battery but this morning when i connect it back on
ok as for right now the light is not on but the switch pin won't pop out when i press on the brake.

well take her back to the shop and make them fix it..! your brake switch gets changed, and now your brake lights are always on. hmm, see any connection here?

i don't take it to the same shop i took it the first, but took it to pep boys and they said the wire that connect to the switch was burn. i have got it fix (i think).
