Could be in the wrong area - but in any case .. I have a broken trunk cover.

Any ideas on fixing it? I was considering riveting some kind of plastic ruler-type material to each side and re gluing the carpet back down, or trying to figure out some kind of 100% all-the-way-across metallic brace using some snipped rod?

I believe Rece has a nice one in his current for sale thread.

Depending on how its broken...

Mine was simply broken down the middle. The carpet was okay. I painted some crown moulding black, and screwed it to the underside, down eachside, with black headed screws. You don't see the screws, and it still looks good when you open up the back.


Best of all, it works.
