Automatic to standard

Post by ooELMOoo »

If possible how hard would it be to change a car from automatic to standard? If you had both transmissions?

Might be an obvious questions to some but i don't know if it is possible

Thanks

If you search, you'll find that many have done it, along with directions on how and what parts you need.

Its fairly easy I did it folowing atlanta mx3's write up... It was really easy because I did a ze swap at the same time. Whole project took up a weekend, thats working in about 4 auto parts store visits & 2 cases of beer for breaks. While yer doin it I'd recommend putting in new shift linkage bushings.

i thought about this also...then i just bought a 5spd...you're going to spend enough time doing an engine swap (if you're planning on it) that wasting time installing a clutch pedal and all the other things needed, its just not worth it...unless you're up for the challenge :welder:
