A little bit of talk was had (me included) about the legality of certain things. Like, the halos, and other things.

My question now is if there is a site online that has laws (for the different states), that pertain to auto modification. I know on the PA website it has pa laws regarding vehicles, but to be honest, they are not well written (and quite frankly confusing). So, I'm curious if there are places online to visit that show these things. I know a while back i saw something pertaining to Canadian laws, but not US (or state) laws...

Well the halos can always be controlled with a toggle switch and only used when say parked

Is the one I have and go by, it's the 2008 version.
It tells you the section codes, the fines, how to do stuff the right way, Has pictures and all.... and even all of the Ontario Insurance companys are listed.... Why you ask?? Well this book comes with a CD... it has a form on the CD used by police to send into insurance companys telling them about the vehicle they just pulled over and has Illegal parts on it. I was shocked when I saw what the form was about!
If they tell you to pop your hood.... Tell them you need a warrant for that! It's a locked compartment!
I keep this book in my glove box at all times!

The projectors are for offroad use only... They do not have the DOT SAE stamp on it to be road worthy. Although the Halos you can use fine since BMW's use them all the time!

But it's simple... If you drive normal they won't touch you.... If you drive like and idiot and stick out like a sore thumb then they will rip you a new one!

When I get curious about stuff (like riding a tandem bike with a motor on it, going 30mph on a bike trail), I'll google the revised statutes, find out it's not legal, and do it anyway.

Yeah I am not worried about being pulled over, as I do not drive like an idiot, but I was more... curious... and I didn't know they needed a warrant to search the hood Interesting!

Although they won't find much under my hood Really only a cold air intake, and some pretty blue NGK plug wires. And I knew the projectors were not legal for road use.. which is a shame considering they look so good (and are probably a lot better at night then the oem lights)
