I know there's a few gas milleage threads floating around, you should search around for them

I could average about 450-500 with my ZE

Well 350 km makes me feel better but 450-500?? I am getting around 220 miles/355 km so I think maybe I need a tuneup or our mx3 tank is not that big. I have a jspec 1.8l v6 with matching ecu and have a hard time starting at times. I can also smell raw fuel so i need to narrow it down. I have new plugs and wires but maybe need to do other adjustments and set timing.

Thanks

Absolutely...how would the motor know if it's mixture is correct is the 02 sensors aren't reading it correctly ;)

This is a common question...

But for the record, my K8 used to get about 400-450 off a 35L fill if I was lucky. The ZE always seems to get 400kms off 35L.

Anyone worried about economy with any 2.5 should not be. The DE and ZEs commonly get 10-11L/100kms when they're in heavier cars.

I also recommend searching this topic, but will add that in the winter here, they add Ethanol, which drops my MPG by 2-3, and tames the performance.
