Just bought a glow gauge.

Hi im new to these boards.
I was wondering if you take the green bulbs out when you install the gauge. also where do you wire it in. i got mine off of ebay and i never got instructions how to install it.

you can pull the bulbs or cut them dead. Then, like any electronic component anywhere in the world, it requires power and ground. Make sure that the power lead is only hot when the lights are in the on position.

Well they are wired together and they still dont work. i took out the green bulbs and my dad wired them together. i think he wired them into the dimmer. i asked if he grounded them and he said he did. he told me to see if the cigeret lighter light worked and they did. i have no idea why they dont work and its kid of frustrating

get a $10 voltage/multi meter. If you don't have the right tools you cannot troubleshoot. Until you know what voltage you are running, no one can help you.
PS, you were to wire the hot leads off of the light switch, not switched acc like the cig lighter.

ok this is stupid. i got the lights working but then for no reason they shut off....ugh its so damn cold outside
