Just curious,
I'm currently in an Internet Graphic Design course learning about lots and lots of things!
Just a heads up, if you're wanting a revamp or anything to do with banners, images... and what not, I could help out with things like that .

I appreciate the offer, but I am happy with what is on here right now. The only thing that I can think of is the little smiley faces, are designed for a white background, so on this black background, there are a lot of little white pixels that make it look "unclean".

The other thing is the "Make a Donation" image on the top right of everyppage, I notice appears in IE7 nicely with a black bacground, (transparent), but in IE6 it still shows a white background around it.

I know these are very minor things, and probably not something a Graphics Design student would be interested in working on, but you asked.

The reason why the MX-3 icon shows up with a white BG in IE 6 is because it is a PNG and IE6 can't read it properly... Make it a GIF might help, but then you'll lose some of the Quality due to the glow on it. The only other thing I can really say to do would be this:



Making it on the proper BG... The only issue then is simply that if it moves... the BG won't look right... :S

Yes I know, I tried all that at the time I created it. I was hoping you had some magical solution that would help!

did you make the forum from scratch? I.E Do you have the entire code?
'cuz you could create the MX-3 in the banner and then make the MX-3 area a hot spot to click on :0 ?? lol

The layout and the forum is phpBB (see the bottom of the page). The layout is a theme. The top graphics, I designed.

JayJ do you have a website for me to check out? Only reason I ask is because I'm a Digital Media/Graphic Designer. I do web/print/video.

but other than that, nothing on the internet... I've got a few on my PC that I've worked with.
also, learning ASP and CF at the moment... PHP Shouldn't be that far off

All jokes aside, I am seriously not interested in redesigning the forums. I am ok with the phpBB forums the way they are.

The main website at http://www.MX-3.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, could possibly use a revamp, but I personally do not have the time. Ideally I would like to put it on a CMS template type system (Content Management System), where the body and form of the site is there, and I can simply, edit the body of the page to modify the content.

The site used to run on Cold Fusion Markup Language (CFML), but that was a number of years ago, and I have since changed my web host that does not provide CFML support.

I am ok with that, as moving forward, I would prefer to have the site running off of PHP and mySQL. Currently I have al the pages running on php code, but the database connections are not working, as I don't have the time to learn the code and make the appropriate changes.

Main webpage needs a revamp anyway as 1/2 the links dont work!
