what front lips fit an mx-3?

Depends how bad you want it.

Other than the MX-3 factory GS lip or JDM lip, anything else will require custom work.

There is also the FX design front lip made for the MX3! it's badass! I have always liked that one!

How much work are we talkin and what kind of lip?

Well you could do anything you wanted if you had the skills. Aside from what's already been discussed you would have to cut and shape anything else to fit our bumper. So you decide what lip you want to use...sort of test fit it and see where it needs to be cut or reshaped...take it down, reshape it...test fit...reshape...test fit...reshape...until it fits the way you want it to. Then you have to figure out how to fasten it to the bumper and if you want to mold it in or not.

there are lots of generic autobody how-to guides out there that will show you basically what needs to be done to custom fit something. I can't teach you how to do body work...I don't even really know how to do body work myself.

personally i think the fx lip is gorgeous and aggressive....i wanted to go that way but then went stupid and went full body kit......fx has good stuff i have the hood scoop and they are nice people to deal with......

Ya, wytbishop hit it spot on, unless it's an Mx-3 lip, OEM, JDM or aftermarket, it'll require modification.

In the end;
- if it was designed for the Mx-3, it'll fit
- if it was for another car, you've got some work to do.

Now, that's not to say some lips don't fit like stock, but odds are against you, and the only way to know is to try...

Not all lips will require the same amount of work, some will need just some triming, other some small cuts to shorten it and fiberglass it back together , other requires some major work...and you can't learn how to work with fiberglass or bondo unless you try and practice. Colin used one for a Miata, someone else I saw in the worklog section did a custom job on a both a front and rear lip, and the skirts too I believe.

Colin that looks Soooper Sick! That's one of the nicest front ends I've ever seen on a MX-3.
