I have posted an add looking for a $500.00 running driving 92-95 MX-3 V6 5SPD. A guy replied to my ad with a running driving V6 5spd MX-6 for $250.00! I don't need it. I can not post in the selling section yet. I am not making any money off this deal. I figured it would be a crime not to forward this to you guys! Anyway good luck! i hope this does not get me in trouble!

"I bought it for 500, then found a hole in the firewall, so i knew i would never get it on the road. Its sitting in a tow truck lot right now.. Its driveable, runs great, crazy fast, I just got pulled over driving it over 50km so its been sitting in the lot, I dont want it, and the tow truck company said I could come get it anytime since they know im not paying what they want for me to get it out...

1) This should be posted in the FS section
2) People will pay what they pay, not everyone makes a wise decision, but that comment makes Mx-3'ers sound like a bunch of stupid idiots, I'm insulted by it. If it's badly rusted, most wouldn't pay more than $1000 is they were planing on using it as a winter beater and it was able to pass safety. $250 would be what someone would pay for a DE drivetrain, but at almost 500'000kms on the motor, people would buy it for less than that, and only if they planned to use the motor for a rebuild

I can not post in the FS yet. (not enough posts). No disrespect intended. When I posted that I wanted a running driving Mx-3 for $500.00 members of this forum thought I was insane. I wanted to forward this so some lucky dude on the forum would get a good deal on a parts car. Figured it would be cool if some one in this forum bought it so, we could see it get put to good use first hand. My Ad is really picking up steam and I am holding out for what I want. I am putting a KLZE in my 323, so the MX-3 I buy does not have to be in very good condition, as I just need it for parts. I was hoping to get a running one so I would not have to tow it. I have quite a few bites, just looking for someone to step-up to the plate 100% I was all excited when I responded, could have chose better words or at least not posted them

It's not that insane, I got my SE for $250, granted the guy thought the car needed several thousand dollars in repairs to make it driveable...

That's geat for someone who can can pick it up and rebuild the engine. Thanks for the forward.

Well that is nice to hear, when I logged off the forum last night I thought I pissed-off all my new MX-3 friends.

The parts are either rusted beyond use or beyond being able to be removed successfully. The big one is the drivers door. How many of us are looking for a good drivers door? IMO

Has anyone contacted the towing yard? Peter had said they just wanted it gone? You would want to get that sorted before you gave him any money!
