wow today i hacksawed the cheap midas muffler off of my car for fun because it was just so sooo quiet, like way more quiet than stock, the tailpipe was 1 in. in diameter and stupid.

all im running now is straight pipe after the cat and its still fartin quiet!
i cant believe how quiet it is, my mommas lancer is louder with ralliart exhaust.

the exhaust on my mx3 made up of a whole bunch of different age pipes but all 2.25,
what does the stock exhaust have because mine just has the cat and a muffler,
no resonator or any of that kind of stuff.

im planning on just bolting on a pipe and a tip in place of the muffler, because its so quiet.

I have a 2.5" exhaust with a magnaflow muffler and it's pretty quiet...but when I had replaced my cat with a straight-pipe for a bit, omg it was stupid loud...i'd never ever do that again.

really? the cat delete made that much difference?
anybody think a high flow cat would make any difference in sound?

Oh yes it did. I got a high-flow cat in there now and it quieted it right up. I've been commented on having one of the quietest exhausts. One of my theories is if you want louder, get a dual-tip muffler.
