So I was at the junkyard to day looking for some Neon parts for my sister and i happened upon a nice 94+ RS and it had a spoiler on it that was not the US spec V6 spoiler. I purchased it, and here are the pics!





I also got a new trunk plastic panel because mine was broken.

I can go back and get some parts if people need things, my zip code is 14719 (NY USA), The car has an excellent body, minus front bumper and pass. fender. Window switches are gone, the air bags were blown but the rest of the push button dash is intact. It has the newer style seats, black with headrests. No rust at all on the doors or the hatch. It also has the nice manual seatbelts too! Let me know guys what you want and I can let you know a ball park price, I won't be making money on stuff, I'd just charge what the yard charges and enough to cover gas, its about an hour drive up there. If you want to throw in more I won't refuse it though The steering wheel is in good shape too, but like I said the air bags were blown.

The car is red in color too.

Is this junkyard closer to you or closer to albany? I've called a few junkyards and have had no luck locating mx3's around the area.

Also, we should try to set up a NY meet sometime.

Yes it is closer to buffalo, its in cheektowaga. Is there anything you need out of it?

Yep, it's a spoiler option for the RS only. Mind you, you were also able to get the GS spoiler on the RS's too (the regular one was, not sure about the wrap around style tho in 94+ for us Canadians). It was probably a more expensive option considering the GS spoiler replaces the hatch garnish, while the RS spoiler was actually mounted on top of it

But, yes, it's quite rare. It more likely wasn't popular since the RS was the cheap model, so if someone got it to save on cash, why spend probably a few hundred more just for a cosmetic spoiler.

So the RS spoiler is just held on by double sided tape or adhessive?

The RS spoiled has bolts that go through the garnish. I have an RS spoiler myself, but don't have a modified garnish to put it on...I don't know if I can drill into the stock one and then mount the spoiler on that.

I believe it's a dealer installed option where the dealer actually drilled throught the factory hatch garnish.
