im making up some new guages, so i removed the old ones and scanned them into my computer..everything was okay until i encountered 2 problems..while trying to remove the fuel and temp needles, i snapped the pin that holds them, in half, so those needles are now deemed useless...problem 2, after i installed the cluster back into the car, i couldnt seem to get the speedo and rpm needle to stay accurate, is there a trick or something im doing wrong? all i did was pop off the needles, and put them back, i assumed the computer would reset them..guess i shouldnt assume :confused2:

ouch dude.

Sorry to say, I doubt it will ever be the same again. AFAIK the comp has nothing to do with the needles. They are not meant to be taken off. Even after overlays don't tell you to take off your needles.

whats AFAIK mean? sorry,
do you know if the low gas light will still come on even if there isnt a needle there? this just gives me an excuse to fill my vents with new guages :welder:

As Far As I Know (AFAIK)

The pointers are only for your use as a driver. They mean nothing to the rest of the car. It would probably suck without them. Just remember not to pull the pins off your new guages.
