Well here's the deal, I got a KLZE straight neck engine and will be keeping it straight neck (car is right hand drive).
Option 1 - the place I got the engine from only has a KL62 ECU. I have a 1995 car with OBDII. I could use my old wiring loom and use the KL62 but my VRIS will be messed up. Apparently I will have to wire up MSD window switches and also get a different air flow meter! That's option 1 and will probably cost me like $300 + screwing around soldering stuff for the VRIS.
Option 2 -source a KL31/36 ECU. I have also sourced a brand new wiring loom for OBDI for $250. This all up will probably cost me around $250 or more if I can't get the correct ECU from the dismantler. Then I can keep my stock Air flow meter as well and VRIS should be good.
What option do you guys think is best? At the moment I am leaning towards Option 2, converting to OBDI ECU + wiring and the new wiring harness would look nice.
