Flow Malfunction...?

My check engine light came on, got the code and it says "Flow Malfunction"...does anyone know what the prob might be...PLUS when i press the clutch and the RPM drops, it drops so low that its on the verge of stalling, then after a couple secs it goes back to normal?????

It would help to know some basic info like the year and/or type of engine (SOHC, DOHC etc)....
Also post up the exact code number -

This is usually due to a blocked up IAC valve and/or improperly set TPS - for more info search for "reset TPS" and "IAC cleaning"
Other causes are weak alternator, corroded ground points, weak battery etc - especially if the RPMs vary when you press the brake pedal.

sorry i should have put that in.... its the 4 Litre that comes in the 1996 Precidia and the code is P0400.

It basically says clean out the EGR valve and the piping......
Start reading up the EGR section on the online manual (starts on page F1-130)
AFAIK there is know 4 Litre engine that came stock with the mx3 - you probably meant 1.6 L 4 cyl mx3?

wow thanx for the info man....and ya i meant that engine, i just dont know much about the car yet....i need to do some reading.
