When i first got it, it was smoking like crazy. My dad and I changed the head gasket, valves, and everything. It turned on after so we started putting back all the pieces and stuff.
I was trying to loose the pully bolt and the fking time belt just shifted two tooth.

(((((((( it took so long to fix it all over again. Now it starts for a second then the engine dies. we changed the spark plugs............... anyone know what might be the cause.
p.s He says call the kidney foundation cause he wont open the engine again

Are you sure you lined up the marks after retiming. Are you getting spark, gas. No vac leaks anywhere?

The car will die right away if your VAF isn't hooked up. Atleast with my V6. Might want to try replacing it maybe.

Can you not at least pull fault codes using your check engine light or an LED?

I recently bought a 1992 V6 as well and it had that problem when I bought it. It would start up and the engine would turn over a few times and then quit. I found out that it was a hole in the air intake on the plastic silencer part of it.
If it's getting fuel and spark and not running then it's likely computer related. In my case it was getting an error in the amount of air so the computer shut it off. Check for cracks or holes.
