Cylinder Head removal

Right so im planning on doing my valve seals, just need to get the sequence right on remoing the head the following i need to remove:

Exaust Manifold
Alternator
Water pump
Timing belt
CAI
Distributor

then what needs to come off, im hoping i can leave the IM on and the TB althopugh the throttle cable will have to be disconnected, i geuss the injectors need removing or at least the fuel line then im stupmed...

there must be loads i have missed please help me!

Well, I just took of my head. You can leave the IM and the TB on the head, as well as the exhaust manifold (mine wouldn't come off). It is pretty easy. I took off the both belts because they looked bad, plus I am going to rebuild my engine. My alt and water pump are still on the bay. You can always look at the service manual. The only tricky thing is you have to get under the car to remove some bolts. The IM and TB are attached by two bolts to a small mount. I unscrewed the bolts from underneath the car. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

thanks, i had know idea about the IM bolts. my exhaust manifold has been changed recently to the probe 1 so that should be fine.

I didn't know about the IM bolts either, was tugging and tugging at the head. Was wondering what I was missing. Not sure why, but I finally went under the car and found the bolts. You could possible get to the bolts from the top, but it is extremely hard to find them.

ur alternator doesn't need to come off..

I AM IN THE UK AND CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A VALVE COVER FOR A 1.6 B6 ENGINE ANY ONE CAN HELP ME GET ONE
