How are they for quality? Do they feel cheap or actually decent?

they're from mazda. they come in mazda poly-bags. they're exactly the same as the upholstery on stock seats. i always liked our seats but they're 15 years old, and my color combo was teal (color of car) and blue. these are teal and black, so they match the interior better. it's probably the best option if your seats are tore up and definitely a better idea than throwing in another pair from a yard. the hogrings are a real pain, but i replaced them with heavy duty zip-ties and they work perfect. hit me up if you give it a try ill give you some pointers

this is really intriguing man.

What did you pay for them?

Can you still order them from Mazda? Do they come in any other colors? I would kill for a black/dark gray color combo.

that is the link for them. I was looking into getting a set, but these ones are getting pretty pricey. Maybe I'll wait a few auctions.

ya, those are pricey, and for only one seat too..

I would pay 75$ for both if they were brand new.

lol... that's what i had... i remember looking around the car thinking "i get the teal, but what the hell else is blue?"
i'm actually such a stickler for color coordination i threw covers on them, then tried to trade some escort guy for a black and charcoal set.

i saw them about two weeks ago and jumped on them. the guy starts bidding at 9.99 and i got mine for $60 a piece (if you win one you can get two at double the price)

i'd say just keep checking up on them, the guy is obviously hooking them from mazda, because stock interior upholstery from a dealership is big bucks.

the guy had a black and charcoal bottom, but that was it :(

the best part is this is definitely a diy job... there's a couple of frame wires that need to be reused (around the actual seat part & one that threads through the bottom of the back) so that the fabric can be anchored to the frame... but the hardest part is undoing the hogrings... i mean i found the easiest thing was to just grab each one with pliers and twist till they came loose, but you have to do that for EVERY one. like i said in my first post, i replaced them with heavy zip ties so i could pull everything tight, when the upholstery first goes on it needs to be pulled a couple inches to look good and with the ties everything can be way off... you just poull them tight once you lock them all in

That seat looks good, it'd be cool if we could check some of the pics once you have the seats installed, see how it looks as whole. Great to hear you were able to grab em for a good price and they work well for what you wanted, congrats!

seats look good I'm just not crazy about the color combo. I know coverking makes custom seat covers for our cars w/ different color combos. I was wondering if anyone ever used those? and if they had any pics to share.

I really like the black/red combo, its like $220
