So I bought
this car from sk8erdude this past weekend. Fun car without a doubt. I wanted to get my 92 GS running for dad so we could both cruise around. That led us into starting this. Lets go...
Suspension 4/29/08
Dad and I were replacing 2 flats on the 92 when we came across this

Well, Hello there Mr Pointy...
We decided to pull the stock fronts off the 93, xfer them to the 92, and install the other set of ffronts on the 93. Lets get started shall we.
Stock vs "Other" set
Let me introduce Dad and the 93 SE-ZE
Me (thanks gramma for getting me with my eyes closed)
... and we're done!

7/25 - 7/27 Update
Good Monday Morning everyone! Wanted to stop by here with a quick update. (no pics yet)
Had my first dealing with Corksport a couple weeks ago... good guys out there. They called me to let me know that my parts were backordered. I got my box late last week: clear front signals, bronzoil shift bushings, and front control arm bushings.
Since I have NO tools at my place right now, I headed out to the parents to get these on the car.
With no front signals, I just tucked the wires in the bumper and took off

Bad Idea
Just as I was exiting the freeway I hear a little 'rip' and I run over the harness for the drivers-side turn signal

Dodging Friday rush hour traffic, I managed to grab the harness and get to the 'rents house. After a trip to AutoZone (between Dad & myself we've been in there 7 times this week

) we managed to get the signals on without a hassle.
Saturday was time for the shifter & mounting bushings. Pretty straight forward as long as you don't lose a nut in the grass
Sunday driving around the car began acting funny. Felt like it lost timing / missing a cylinder

Plug wires looked a lil worn... You guessed it... it's AutoZone time again! New plugs/wires/cap/rotor for the ZE.
After 4 test runs to the corner store, it was still acting up. WTF!
Solution: a loose bolt!

(will post pic asap cuz this made my day)
The ZE is back up and running like a champ. w00t!

Local Fun Run 10/18/08
So I found another forum that had a group meeting up for what they termed a Fun Run last weekend. Figured I would tag along to see exactly how fun it could be...
Mnemonic & sk8erdude - thanks again for this car
I was able to hold my own with some
very fine company. The run was on all back roads in the Ann Arbor/Jackson area and covered in
a spirited fashion.(read: 20mph turns at 50 with tires screetching and above highway speeds on straights) The MX-3 was the oldest & slowest of the group

but it was a blast nonetheless. As a matter of fact, it was so much fun that I believe I burnt out the clutch
So... Next projects are: replace the clutch, tune suspension, brake upgrade, and wheel/tire upgrade

WoW it's been a while since I've posted here. Lots of stuff happening... (pics soon)
pulled engine & tranny out
replaced clutch & flywheel surface
in the process of replacing the timing belt cover
debating on replacing PS pump or deleting completely
also have an Underdrive pully ready to go on, although I should prolly get a DE alternator if i do this
Any thoughts on the last 2 items ??

lol what did you do to my motor?
I'm guessing this is the blue UR Underdrive pulley, you won't find much gain with it if any...
I would delete the power steering setup all together, get you a 323 manual rack to replace the current one (pretty easy swap)

Hey Mnemonic! Was wondering if you were gonna see this.
I had a little too much fun last fall (read
Local Fun Run post) so I figured while everything is out I would do as much as I can to get it where I want it.
I was just reading about the 323 rack swap this morning, gonna see if I can get lucky and find one locally.
(shh... might be picking up a 3rd MX3 soon

)
