Shifting

ok so my car won't let me downshift into 2nd gear from 3rd or neutral. i can only go into 2nd when i'm in 1st. most other manual cars i've driven would allow me to go into 2nd gear. is this normal with the mx3's?

probably buggered syncros, 2nd always dies first.
try heel-toeing, might slip in a lil easier.

i did some research and it sounds like thats my problem....i bought it like that so i thought thats just how it was
will changing my tranny fluid help? or should i just look for a used tranny. i dont have the money for a used tranny yet so will have to drive like it is.

Yeah I know what you mean, mine won't let me go into any gear if I have been on the interstate for very long, or if I was running it a little hard. It doesn't even matter if I grab gears or not if i run it hard it won't let me shift into any gear though, not just 2nd. so I have been wondering what I should do. I have tried replacing the throw out barrings, the slave cylinder, and the clutch master cylinder. I just wondered what a good transmission will run me.
