My rims... eww!

Ok... Here's my deal.
I'm not satisfied with my rims... At All!
I've painted them numerous of times and the paint is just built up on them. Tire shops have chipped acouple layers of paint off the rims, and I painted over it. Right now, this is how they look... Trust me, the picture makes them look alittle better. lol
I painted them Gloss Black... Then I bought some Chrome paint and put a lip around it. Really the only way I like Black rims, Is unless they have a Chrome or Polished lip. Soo... I've decided to have them sand blaster or bead blasted. What should i do then, as far as color?
I don't know what color will look good up against this green. I know I like the black with chrome lip.. But i'm not doing that chrome lip stuff again, it was just too hard to make it look good. What do you guys think?
Here is a pic of when i've had them silver... On my primer black ZX2.
Let me know what i should do guys... i'm kinda in a stump on this.

I like the black with the chrome lip. Get them blasted then powder coated.

Get the rims blasted, and you could get the lip polished or p/c chrome. The apply the powder to the area you want painted. Then the heat it up and it bonds to the metal. Any area that does not have the powder on does not get painted.

They would probally charge an arm and a leg to polish the lip. I've looked at alot of green mx-3's but I cant find any that has gunmetal rims or bronze rims. I hate to do things that i dont know how it will turn out.

I have gunmetal rims with a polished lip that was custom done by the previous owner.. Not cheap. I think that with a teal car you can do Gunmetal (doesn't hide the rim as much, looks clean) or bronze. I never really liked black rims as they hide to easy. Those rims do look good but power coating is the way to go! Gunmetal or bronze with a polished ring would like good! Lower your car and they will look better!
If you tape off the section you have polished now they can powder coat the inside area and you would be good to go, they can either powder coat that silver area or you can sand it with sandpaper to a polished finish if the rims are aluminum.

Hey Smooth,
Gunmetal with polished lip on an emerald green MX looks great IMHO. Got it myself.
The gunmetal looks a bit darker in person. (The sky was bright the day I took these pics.)
Rims are 17" Falken Circuit Specs.

Someone with a green MX-3 HAS SPOKEN!!!! hehe
Yeah... It looks good, But how would it look with my rims. I have more of the flat face rim. I'm thinkin about stripping the rims with aircraft remover. I haven't completly made up my mind yet, but this is kinda what im thinkin... You tell me.
1). Black w/ Polished Lip
2). Gunmetal w/ Polished Lip
3). Silver
4). Gunmetal
Crazy Ideas...
1). Black w/ Yellow Lip
2). Face Black, Back Yellow

solo,
Thanks for the compliment!
Wow, close to home! Lived one block from there for 20 years! The pics was taken in Coquitlam though, where I used to work. Still has that "Lower Mainland" look though.
Smooth,
My money would be on option 2, but as you can guess I'm biased towards gunmetal and polished!

If you're all into mixing colours, you could go for the Konig Britelite look... But then I'd have to harm you.
