k8 manual transmission wont go into reverse

ok i just put a transmission in my 1992 mazda mx-3 k8 i shifts through 1st thru fifth just fine but will not go into reverse and is very frusturating can someone give some insight on what might be goin on and 1st, 3rd, and 5th gear all seem too close to the dash. Could this be a linkege problem or what pls help

there is no syncro on reverse. so the acr has to be completly stopped. make sure of that. if not possibly the shifter linkeage. are the bushings good??? Try releasing the clutch and then pressing it again. maybe you just need a clutch adjustment.

yeah i tried the lettin out the clutch thing and that didnt work if i try to go into reverse it just goes into 4th? im not a happy man right now
