Hey guys. I spent all day today starting the first steps of restoration. I removed the cowl and wiper arms and painted them both. That turned out really well. I also removed all the paneling from front to back, cleaned everything, removed the rust from the spare compartment and applied a ruberized undercoat spray to the compartment, and I removed the back seat in preparation of reupholstering.

My passanger side window was not working and when I removed the paneling look what I found. lol The board is holding the window up..geez.

was wondering where my jack went to lol. Is that not crazy?

and after

I was going for something subtle what do you guys think? It's definately an improvement. I used dupli-color fabric spray and it seemed to cover evenly so I hope it holds up and doesn't like flake off or anything like that.

What do you guys think?

LMAO That has to be the most functional ghetto repair I have ever seen. Save that picture for posterity man cause thats awesome LOL

Door panels look good.. I did something similar to my rear seat. Planning to do the door panels too.. keep us posted on how well the stuff wears. You may want to start a work log in the Worklog forum to keep track of all your projects and upgrades. Cheers

hey glad the pic helps. I will have all my panels off for a bit does anyone need pics of anything else? May just shoot some and post just incase.

Tunes I will look into the Worklog...didn't know there was a section for that. Thanks for the comments guys. That board is probaby the most awesome piece of ingenuity I have seen in a long time. I am going to get it fixed soon. Want to put power windows in soon. Am having power locks installed along with a security system. Doors don't even lock right now lol...not too worried though. Thanks guys.

Yeah the worklog section is a great place to check out other peoples rides.. you can get some sweet ideas for things to do with your ride from what other folks have already figured out and done :)
