Temic immobilizer flash code application HELP!

Hi
I have a flash code of four groups of two digits provided for my MX3 which has been immobilized for two years.
This code was provided by the dealer with the new Temic unit.
I need to know how to apply the code, (or create it)
Is it via the diagnostic data link connector (DLC), or does it come up somehow on the key code light on the dash?
