Hi There,
I'm willing to put some z3 fenders in my mx3.
Therefore I'd like to get as much experience from people as possible on how the did it and as many picture's as possible.
I've searched the forum and cardomain put only came up with 5 mx3 that have those fenders

If you are putting the inserts in then you basically cut a hole in your fender and then place the insert in, then bondo'ing it smooth and repainting.

Place the inserts in ?? I thought it was just welding it to that shape.
I know that there are some fibreglass fenders but I want them made out of steel

i dont think there's steel ones available to the best of my knowledge. it'd definitely be more work than the fiberglass ones tho

You could take your mx-3 fenders and cut slits in them and kind of peel in the metal... that would be the closest thing to metal z3 fenders.
I would do some research on how the bmw z3 fenders actually look and make your design after those...

So it would be best to cut the shape into some metal, and afterwards put the metal piece into the fender?
* another question * Does anyone have picture's of Z3 fenders? This way I have something to peek at

and then create my own

According to my welder it's really hard to get the shape into the fender without proffesional pressing equipment.
He suggested I'd find a fender of another car and cut and welt it in my original fender.
