If its a V6 model.. yes, but not recommended cause the auto tranny in our cars are known to brake easily. KLZE would destroy an automatic haha.
Our trannys cant even handle the K8's power what makes you think it will hold the power of a KLZE?.
Totally not recommended!.
well....

Well i guess it depends on how fresh the tranny is, I dont really know automatics that much other then they don't last very long in our cars. Check the transmission thread and wait for some more reply by others before making a final decision.

I would do the MTX swap while you have everything out, it will be much easier. If you have to wait a little longer to get the car on the road, it will be worth it. If money is a problem, do some looking around at junkyards. You might be surprised what you can find. I was actually lucky enough to find a GS with an MTX at a U-pull-it yard. I got all the parts for the swap plus some extra stuff for $200. $100 for a new clutch, plus the cost of gear oil and some other misc. stuff and the total cost of my MTX swap was under $350.

The sensible and most cost effective option would be to wait, you should really change all the wear items while you're at it too, it'll save money in the long run
But yeah, your tranny should be okay for a bit, even better with a tranny cooler. The auto will probably switch to safe mode due to it not being fully compatible with a non-K8 ecu.
Patience is a virtue!

Not even. Check with Fieromx3, he was the last one that I know of who tired a swap in an auto, He has a KLDE in there and the trans lasted maybe a month, I don't quite remember, but not long, and I think they spend over $2000 on a rebuild about a year prior...but if you want to give it a shot, ask him, he'll of course know all the details, and will more likely suggest against it like the rest of us have and recommend to wait and to do an MTX swap

Don't forget to get a Curved Neck Intake or you'll have some fitment issues

That's irrelevant on a ZE swap with an automatic, fitament issues with the straight-neck ZE are a problem for all left-hand drive Mx-3's, auto or manual
