So the v/c and i/m are being sandblasted with 00 and the I cleaned my t/b by hand.. now onto the fulerails.. I will be cleaning these up by hand also but I was wondering what people would do for colors...

If you dont know I have a black mx-3, it will be getting a fresh coat this winter/spring and I was thinking of painted my painted my v/c gloss black and the intake would be pollished or maybe painted silver... but for my fule rails I was thinking of something to stand out a bit.. maybe Red or Yellow rails and highlight the " Mazda DOCH 24 Vavle " in the same color as the rails....

Whatcha think???

red>yellow

However, I would go with something more simple like Black or Silver.

Yeah I am leaning that way too.. thats what I was planing for a while but recently I sall a de mx-6 with red rails with black v/c's and it look sharp... the only issue I would be running into is keeping them clean... black would be less maint...

and I got the black and yellow from a 5.0 mustang..

OH MY GOD..please don't remind me about painting fuel rails.

fieromx3 did his Gold and the rest of his engine is black and it stands out nicely and definitly looks nice. now onto the horror story. My ZE is red valve covers with gunmetal intake manifold. at the same time he did his we did mine the same gold. Altough when putting the fuel injectors back into the rail I broke an O-ring and never elized it untill after I had started the motor. Since the o-ring was broken it dumped alot of gas into the cylinder and hydrolocked the motor which, through a rod in the block.

So I insist on being very carefull when you them. Although it does add a nice touch to your engine bay especially if you do them an anodized red or soemthing cool like that.

Yes Black chrome isn't a new concept or anything, its been around since the days of the muscle cars. It's similar to Black nickel plating. You see it more so with things like bikes, old cars, and guns.

not my choice of wheel but its a good example

Any powdercoating shop should be able to do it.
