I've got a small amount of understanding as to how megasquirt (or any engine management system) works. I plan on building a DE over fall/winter and installing it in the spring. I am also planning on it being turbo...and I want to be able to control it very precisely so I can keep the system reliable.

Basically I need someone who can help me understand how certain aspects of megasquirt work. Being able to talk over aim or email would be great!

A few topics I would like to discuss are:

-can megasquirt work with my factory disty so I can control spark? (ie. retard for boost aplications) or will I need/want to do HIE coil mod
-I will want to hook up a wideband o2 sensor, will I need a wbO2 controler to send the signal from the sensor to the MS, or can I avoid sending 200 dollars on a controler and just plug the sensor right into MS?
-are there any harnesses for our cars? I am not great with wiring (willing to learn) and a PnP or near plug and play harness would be a great time saver.
-over all discussion about how some of MS features work.

I have read through the MS site and I just want someone with a good understanding of the system help me to understand it a little better and decide if it is right for me.

talk to rebel2k4 he makes a pnp harness for our cars.

just remove the stock ecu, and run a new ground, and install one sensor in your air inlet tube, and pull in the msns.

easy :)
