Ariel Atom Experience

Post by Darcy »

I'm so stoked... The Ariel Atom is in Calgary this week and I have booked a 1/2 day with them tomorrow.

I will try to take some of my own pics and vids if possible, but I guess they give the attendees some too.

Give them what?
I have been thinking about the Atom, but it would be a second toy and I need a new DD. Oh well, fun to look at and dream about. I would go with the Chevy engine though. No Honda crap for me thanks.

AAE cars are equipped with onboard video cameras. The applicable video & audio recordings are subsequently edited & provided to each Client for the benefit & enjoymentof each Client.

Yeah, the Ecotec engine sure looks like a good match for the car. It shows slightly higher numbers than the Honda too.

Slightly, I thought they had a supercharged version from the Saturn Ion RedLine or the Chevy Cobalt SS. The numbers from the SC'd engines are much more than the Civic Si motor.
PLEASE post the vid if you go and get one. I would love to see more of the car in action. Most of what I've seen are old geezers farting around or professional drivers. Both are ok, but neither shows what the car is like with an average driver.

I have a strange feeling they won't let me video my own driving like I do in my MX-3. Something to do with safety regs and such :o

Oh Yeah, we were all able to drive 3 15-20 minute sessions. We did two laps at the end of the day with a professional driver. Corners that I was doing 55-58MPH on, he was doing at about 65!

That was the third session where we passed the pace car and then had the entire track to ourselves to go at our own pace.

It was totally worth it. Definitely check it out when it comes to your area
