Question about a squeaky sound.

Post by ahsdrumgod »

When my Mx-3 is in neutral and idling, I hear a high-pitched squeaky sound. This stops when I lay my foot on the clutch. Any idea what this could be?

Could be your throw out bearing (release bearing) getting old. This happened to me to and then the bearing blew up inside my bell housing... not cool.

Check your serpentine belt, when you push in the clutch it changes the load on the motor ever so slightly. Try spraying some lube on the belt, just a little bit though.lol
