Education needed to design and manufacture Bodykits?

i'm starting to guess that people who design bodykits rely on AutoCAD or some other computer-aided-design program. Does this mean that if I take a course in say Engineering Graphics Tecnician, I would become introduced to this world of bodykit designing?

it seems to be so secret, and no one seems to ask this question, "what exactly do they do or use to design bodykits?" i feel like i'm the first one to ask this question for some reason ...

Well from what I have seen of most body kits.. the first step to designing them has to be developing a bad.. wait.. terrible sense of style and taste. Then mix in a liberal dosing of Liberace gaudyness and possibly even a bit of Ray Charles blindness... smack your forehead against a brickwall a dozen times.. then look at a car and draw the images you manage to see. Once you have them drawn out on paper.. you can then transfer them to the computer using CAD programs or even graphical drawing programs. :D

ahha yah that about sums it up... not sure if it sjust me but i only seem to like 1 or 2 body kits on a car and the rest are just god awful and those are the one people seem to love!! drives me nuts
I am not entirely sure i was curious too as to what exactly is needed to get into that type of industry. Definately best place to ask is the company themselves as they probably have schools which they directly hire from. If not employees will obviously know what kind of degree they hold.

what i understand how people make a body kit,
they make the bumper out of syrfoam or clay, they then make a mold
then they fiber glass it

yah yah also foam works very well. I havent made one but i have copied alot of body kits with success and sold em locally heheh. :) u need like 5 layers of fiberglass to make it good and alot of resin,. patience. I used alluminium paper foil.
