Ok.. so Igot 165 at the wheels...

The guy at the shop states that should give me better than a sad 15.2 that I get at the track.. what gives? you think its my driving? my tires? tires are new.


I launch at around 2 - 3 k rpms to avoid wheel spin.
I race my boy rudy with a klze , he has no fidanza he has headers intake and exhaust. he has drag radials and we are either even or sometimes he wins by half a car. I got more mods, the engine has been compression tested to be good. Does not burn oil. I have the propper ecu and vaf. Cleaned out everything, did the full tune up. Any ideas? also i once tried to get a smaller than 2.5 intake from an integra. Put it on the car and my car lost like .2 at the track.

Will a smaller intake make me slower? or larger? Im asking because well.. i have never asked before.. i posted it here because its mainly for the v6 klze guys.

Oh course my elevation 3000 feet doesnt help but the "experts" at the diff shops say 165 is good to break high 14s.

added you, i run ADR gunmetal rims 17 inch, Nan kang 215 40 r17

I shift at around 6.7.


At the line sometimes i launch at 2 k sometimes at 3h. I go from there to 6.7 2nd gear , also third and fourth. My trap speed is at 90 mph. To top it off my car is gutted and no passenger. My friend rudy has drag radials, intake exhaust headers and kl31 ecu and sometimes we are dead even on each other. he has the exact same engine as i.

One thing id like to add, i once had the code for the left o2 sensor. I reset the ecu and now its not there. I remember once i ran a flat 15.. i forgot how. i think i ahd 16 inch rims.

We dont have any racestrips here in Portugal, but from my experience in the "you know what" you should get some 16" light rims, change gear @ 7000 rpm and you will be faster :wink:

Hector, thanks for the chat on msn. Do the 4 things i said and there is no reason why you can't be in 14's. Your trap speed is slow. could also be because of those 17" wheels. and i almost guarantee that.

Well guys it seems I have found part of the problem, my front o2 sensor is gone.. i got the code and it wont go away. Was going to replace it but when i took it out i noticed the crap ebah sensor has a FEMALE connector... dam... its backwards. Ill source another one or try to rewire this new one.

um i got code 05.. checked faq and its the dammed knock sensor.. that thing is a PAIN to swap .. really a PAIN :S dammit.. ill reset ecu and hope i just got the code because i dropped water in there..

No more knock sensor code and no o2 sensor code. Runnign great.. changed oil and it was clean.
