i have my mx6 that kinda got electrical fire and yea, the back part is kinda fried. So i was thinking of take the engine, axels, suspension( turn it from 4 lug to 5 lug) and do the same for the back wheels. its the klze engine with a a-spec ecu( soon to be chipped and reflashed) btu anyways i would like to know if any did it or can it be done? i mean complete swap from motor to, axel, and everthything. What i got so far from the mx6 into the mx3 is the mx6 front stock bucket seats in the mx3( mx3 had ugly protege seats) know i want to do the engine and everythign else with the engine. any help?

why would you wanna completly switch off the axles is my question... just take out the motor and drop it in the mx-3 everything is bolt on... i have not heard of anyone doing a five lug conversion...not really a point to doing it....

the hubs wont fit- so you cannot use them to make the car a 5-lug.

Use the axles and such from the MX-3.

Although the Mx-3 and Mx-6, although share the same drivetrain, are on different chassis, so you cannot swap over the suspension, brakes, hubs, axles etc, without custom modifications, if it's even possible (Suspension is apparently 50%-90% bolt on, but depends on who you talk to, and it's only been attempted twice that i know of) The Mx-6 is on the same chassis as the Probe and 626 (maybe Millenia too?), the Mx-3 is on the 323/Protégé chassis.

A KLDE/ZE will bolt right up to your stock tranny and you keep your Mx-3 axles no problem, just need to upgrade the clutch to handle the power (the mx-3 flywheel stays too, common mod for Probe/mx-6'ers to use the lighter Mx-3 flywheel). Get the ECU and VAF from the Mx-6 so the motor runs right, and your all set...

i read on here a write up on the engine swap. It said i have to plug up some vacumm sensors, bu i dont want to do that since where i live i got to take emission tests. I was woundering if i get the ecu and the ecu harness that i can use all the sensors from the klde/ze so it can function all the engine sensors like if it was in a mx6?

I think you are talking about the EGR valve. The ZE didn't have EGR when Mazda built it. So there is no plugging of any vacuum because there is no EGR to plug. Copy and paste the part of the swap directions you are talking about and we can better understand what your concerns are.
