Hello all. Just picked up a 95 RS is great shape on the cheap, but just found out that i've got some leaky doors. I've been searching for a weatherstripping kit for both front doors without luck. I'd like to get something close to OEM vs having to make a kit myself. Any ideas or luck finding these?

welcome to the boards. I see that kinda stuff all the time at autozone and kragen.

is it possible you could pull off weather stripping from a junked MX, and just use silicon to adhere it? i know you said you would not like to do it yourself tho. just a suggestion.

I saw a whole set of weather stripping on ebay last week, front windshield, rear window and both doors sold seperately.

I couldn't find anywhere to get it new except from mazda themselves, and it was way overpriced.

Welcome to the bd. These are both for dr. door but one looks more like the rigid plastic door moulding and the other looks like the weatherstripping...

Good finds Neutral.. less than 1/2 what mazda charges for them new.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to making a monster mx-3! Good find neutral! Putting the order in as we speak. One issue down just a few more to go (headlights are fogged badly) before it's time to swap some power.

Yea, mine were really foggy and yellow, you can get repair kits for those, but i use gel gloss, and it works REALLY WELL.

I got some meguiars plastix Clear plastic cleaner and polish to get rid of the yellow fog. Fisrt clean was hard work because they were almost opaque, but it lasts about 2 months till the yellow fog starts to appear again so if you polish them when you wash the car they will stay close new condition

Shame the lights themselves just aren't that bright.

After they're polished up, I apply two coats of liquid clear acrylic no-wax floor finish/polish, available at any grocery store. Any brand will do and costs about $5 for a lifetime supply from one bottle. Let each coat dry between application. Really glosses them up for a final shine and gives enough UV protection to only need re-polishing once or maybe twice a year.
