is it worth it?

So I'm thinking about buying a 92 1.6L mx3...It has a brand new clutch, new cv shafts, new ball joints, a new water pump, a $500 cd player, and a carbon fiber exhuast tip...but it needs struts, tires, it leaks oil, and part of the exhuast is rotting. The car itself is going to cost me $800, and I have $500 to spend fixing it up. How much should I plan on spending to fix it up? And is it worth it, or should I keep on looking for a different car? I don't really know that much about cars, so that's why I'm asking. Thank you.

Seems like a good deal to me, how many miles are on the car? What kind of shape is the motor in??

Has 160k miles, which I'm not too worried about. My mum had a 98 626 and it had close to 300k when she traded it in this year. I've decided to buy it though. it's inspected til next month, so I figure I'll just throw some tires and struts on it for now and worry about the oil pan gasket and the exhaust later. The exhaust isn't too bad, just rusted 3/4s of the way around the pipe in front of the catalitic converter (sp?). Picking it up next weekend ;)

Sounds like my first mx3. 93 rs with 160k, did all the routine maintanence on the car and ended up selling it with with 200k and running strong. With the proper maintenance the 1.6 is a pretty reliable motor.
