Hello Everyone ! my car is now mostly stock. I have reverted back (from turbo) to my almost stock setup besides genie 4-2-1 headers, intake and injectors which are 230 cc. Question is dose the 94 + mx's, ECM have an adaptive A/F ''learning mode'' to compensate for running slightly rich ?? and how long dose it take for it to adapt if it dose ? The engine run's very smoothly but I would like to increase my fuel milage just a bit. I belive thease injectors are 10-20cc's higher than stock. I would like to keep thease injectors in, as they are new, also pulls stronger at higher RPM's.

Bumped cause I was going to ask this question.
If the vaf, tps, and rpms say how much fuel the engine needs then how much power do the O2 sensors hold? Are they only a check to keep from going lean or do they also correct the rich side?

Any info/link on details to how the ecu functions in conjuction with various sensors, MAF, o2, tps, cam angle, would be very helpful as I have done many searches but havnt found much. Thanks !

Nobody but the mazda engineers know for sure how it works - others have tried to approximate the behavior though. Look into the megasquirt info pages especially the maps - they tell you how the fuel is controlled - in megasquirt you can also set how much power/control o2 feedback has on the fuel control. You can set it to almost nil - so you can tune it with an o2 sensor and run daily without one....

There are some clues about the programming in the manual - not much though...

I don't belive that obd1 does fuel trims.

its adaptive to a point. the only thing i can think of is adjusting the vaf (unless you have a maf) and possibly lowering your fuel pressure a little bit (since it used to be turbo im guessing you have an adjustable rrfpr)
