The other night my best friend and me were going to a SCCA meeting in the middle of know where. We got done just starting to head home we are about 140 miles away from home and its about 9pm we are cursing along and $hit... a 4 point buck jumps out! Being so low to the ground my car is. It throws the deer up onto my hood. It chipped up my bumper a bit but my hood is screwed. The deer shaved off 3 plugin's on the disty cap and the main ECU plug for the disty its self is shaved off to!! The deer also busted the mount and pushed in my driver side headlight a bit and my rad. support is pushed in a bit. So we were stuck out in the middle of know where and the temp. was 20 at 9 at night...
But at lest we were ok the car didn't even slow down just kind of throw the deer off the road!! Well look on the bright side this was still my first CF hood that hit my window. And they are not joking when they say CF is strong my hood is screw up but its still one peace.

Wow.. 140miles for an SCCA meet? that's dedication. Though they are probably less common in ND.
Good thing your okay tho. Wouldn't be fun to be comepletely standed in the middle of nowhere at those temps.

You're lucky. If your car was higher your bumper and core support would have taken a beating. I'm sure ND deer are much larger than the little white tails we have in GA, but I've seen some white tails Destroy an SUV front end. Glad you are ok.

I got $2000 loan so i am going to order my new hood and get my full body kit as a areoflex kit. I already pulled the radiator and bent the support back into place so thats fixed. Getting my new disty and cap tomorrow. Car should be running by the end of the week.

Glad you're okay albeit it was cold. Glad also there wasn't more damage than that which occured. Like Pat said, the deer in Georgia aren't very big but those suckers will take a chunk out of anybody's car because they're usually scrambling in the roadway and typically in groups.
Of course, I have yet to see a deer since I moved to the Mississippi gulf coast now that I think of it... hrm... actually much of any woodland creature at that...

Haha oh man.. We hit a deer in my old honda civic hatchy. Thing ran out and hit the right side headlight and bent the passenger door a bit. Found some hair stuck on the door handle afterwords. Wasn't too extensive as your car had been through but hell, why do deers do such things!!??
