I enjoy music, and enjoy not having to pay for it. Don't get me wrong I still buy albums, but it's nice for those instances when you just want one song
Prroobblleemmm is... my fairly new HP p4 Hyper threading media center pc has completely stopped working and this marks the 5th time it will have gone into the repair shop this year. I run Norton and spybot and some other stuff free with aol on it. I just bought a new compaq laptop and plan on using it as the main computer and don't want it to have the same fait as the HP desktop.
Are there any SAFE and FREE music download programs out there? I have used kazaa and bearshare and both seem to fill the computer up with viruses to the point of no return. Any other virus tips would be appreciated too. Thanks everyone.

Unless you trade with a reliable souce aka friends, most file sharing progs have malware or spyware, unless you pay for it. Even then, you may get lucky and find a good source for the music, but that could be the RIAA.
I just buymin from an onlines store. Its a buck. Unless Im listening to it 1x, its worth a dollar.

I find best to use the utorrent.com program and download torrent files from torrentspy or thepiratebay. Always best to read comments attached to downloads on the sites before you download the torrent to make sure the file is good quality and not a virus.
something seriously wicked is if you log onto torrentspy.com and type in the search box 'axxo'. this user uploads all the best files in near dvd when their in the cinema and not even out on dvd yet. enjoy!

Newsgroups for the win! They are blazing fast, and very reliable. The communities police themselves very well.
Go to
http://www.shemes.com
Download Grabit (free of spyware and viruses, but feel free to scan it anyways)
Since I live in Columbus, and have Road Runner, my news server is news-server.columbus.rr.com
Make sure you select NO to the Auto par feature.
Go to
http://www.quickpar.org to get the correct par program. Make it look like this:
http://www.newzleech.com is where you will be finding your files. You can find just about anything, from music to movies. My average download speed is 800 kb a second, or an entire DVD in about 2 hours.

It is to repair the downloads if needed.
