The intake shouldn't, if not make it run cleaner (theoritically, more air should make it burn cleaner and leaner)

You should be doing this in the worklog section rather than in the Appearance forum. I like the stripes.. but I think if your going to go for the GT look.. go all the way and do a bottom stripe along the bottom of the door.. could have it say MX-3 KLZE or indicate whatever engine you have or MX-3 SC or MX-3 Turbo.. just some thoughts..
