seat covers

I'm sure it's been asked before I there's no harm in trying..
Does anyone know of anywhere I can buy replacement seat covers in uk?
My driver's seat cover is now in a state of disrepair. The multi-colour threaded type material in the seat is falling apart and the side has a large tear in it.
I've checked the scrap yards around here for dead mx's to pinch a spare cover with no luck. I also went to a car upholsterer in Cheltenham for a quote but nearly fell over when he said it'd cost £800 - £900 + materials +VAT to make covers for the front seats and replace the matching material in the back.
Does anyone have any infor on where I can get some new well-fitting seat covers or a cheap place to have some made???
