Stock MX-3 have amber stock corner lights (obviously)
aftermarket corner lights come in "white"
how would i go about getting red corner lights?
Somehow tint the whtie aftermarket ones? ...
For the side ones in the front, i thought i could just get the two from the rear (obviously from another mx-3) since those in the rear are already red. but the very front signals would have to be altered in their own little way ...

You could do 1 of 2 things...
red bulbs in clear housings,
or do the red tail light mod on your corners.

For adding red up front, I think that would be illegal. I know for the Ontario HTA it is. Here the front markers can only be white or amber. You might want to check the HTA for BC.

It is illegal here in the states too. I'd check with local laws first or you are asking for a ticket. Amber (orange) or white is the only legal colors that I know of. (some states allow amber only, and thus you have to use an amber bulb behind the clear lense)

Actually what you could do which I've kinda done is take the casing apart and paint the inside of the signal light's housing (excluding the reflector). I did mine black. With black, it give the tinted look but since the lense isn't affected, it still shines stock amber. If you painted the housing red, it could and should look red, but with the signal light on, it'll flash stock (and legal) amber. This would probably look much better if you painted the clear lense housing instead of the stock once since the housing is white/grey, the red will look like the painted red instead of painting red on orange. As well, the lense will be clear so it wont change the color to a slight orange. There shouldn't be a law on the color of the casing, as long as the light emmited is the legal amber, i don't see a problem. Some places dont even like the lense being painted or tinted. By paintin the housing, you get the look, but not the legal issue behind it.

But if your looking for a red light for your signal, you'll have to check to see if a front red signal is legal or not in your area, more likely not

Nd4Spde, thanks for the tip.. but i still scratch my monkey head over your footnotes: "147.97hp, 148.50tq" from KLZE ... plus you've got quite alot of modifications in your car ... yet you've only gained 20 hp above stock by buying a 200hp engine? ... ...

:(

Ya, my car's quite odd. I dont know what doing on with the motor and stuff. Mind you, stuff like the TB werent installed when i did the dyno but still, those are lower numbers than you'd see on a stock DE probably, but all out numbers were all below 150whp (me, Deimos and Selecta and Kp2t where all the ones to go i believe). We're suspection something sketcky with the dyno. Dont take my car as an example of what you get out of a ZE, i have bad luck with anything going well, but numbers aside, a ZE is hella fun and I love it.
