Dimer Switch to Indiglo Gauge Wire
Posted: September 19th, 2006, 4:52 pm
So which wire goes where? We have 3 wires to the Dimmer (Black-Red-and Red/Black) and my gauges have 2 wires to each face (striped wire (black/white and solid wire (black)).
-So do I run striped (gauge) wire to striped (dimmer) wire and black (gauge) wire to black (dimmer) wire?
-Or do I run striped (gauge) wire to red (dimmer) wire and Black (gauge) wire to striped (dimmer) wire.
-Or do I run striped (gauge) wire to red (dimmer) wire and Black (gauge) wire to Black (dimmer) wire.
-Or do I run striped (gauge) wire to striped (dimmer) wire and Black (gauge) wire to black (dimmer) wire.
---Red/Black Wire---
[ Dimmer ] -------Red Wire-------
-------Black Wire-----
