Yea, for sure it is a custom system, noone makes a dual exhaust kit. To make this work you have to cut out your spare tire well and make a extra pipe go over to the muffler.

cut out the spare tire well, or is it that the rear bumper is much lower than the stock bumper, allowing for the dual exhaust to clear the spare tire well easy ...

?

Possibly, but doubtful as the tirewell is deep. It is easier to cut it out and put a peice of sheet metal in.

By buying two Tanabe tuner medalion universal mufflers, could i pull off a custom exhaust system that will look like those pictures and fit the bodykit? i don't know what's the mx-3's diameter

The only true dual exhaust I've seen on the MX3 involved cutting out the tire well and welding in a flat piece of sheet metal in its place.

the removal of the spare tire well is definately in consideration
but when i first took my car to a shop for personal insight,
they said that the rear bumper goes lower than the stock bumper,
so the spare tire well can be cleared,
meaning the exhaust system would hang at a level below it i guess.

I would feel bad for your exhaust if you bottomed out.

i've seen it done without taking out the spare well, but it definitely depends on the bumper. if you really have your heart set on it, buy the bumper and check the fit, and plan on the possibilty of having to do a spare well-ectomy. LF1 is def right tho, it'd have to go if you want true duals... most ppl seem to say the extra weight would negate any benefits, so its more for looks than anything anyway. i jsut have a y-pipe after the cat... exhaust comes out both sides equally

so, given that my exhaust on my mx-3 is stock right now, what parts exactly do i have to buy to build this dual exhaust system? two tanabe mufflers, yes, and what else? y-pipe, what else? please list every single part so i can order them in
