Newbie 96 Mx-3 engine questions

Post by joes57 »

Hi everybody im lookin to get more power out of my 96 mx-3 and i was in a performance shop yesterday and i was told that turbochargers were very easy to install on a 96 B6D engine which is in my car now. I was wondering if ne one had ne suggestions on a turbo charger to install or even if this is recomended. also i was wondering how much work it would be to swap my b6d for a b6t engine. Thanks in advance for all ur help.

Please do a search first before posting! There must be 1000 or more posts on "how-to's" with turboing the B6D. Good luck!

Aye the subject has been beat to death but it can sitll be tricky to find what your looking for. The FAQS are worth sorting threw though in order to give you a few good directions to head off into as well, just be sure you scroll down to the bottom and set it to view threads that are more than X days old. I have mine set to show All topics, I think the default might be one month i dont remember.

Yes its easy to turbo the bottom end is strong but you really need to set up a power goal and a speed goal that is relistic for your budget and wants against your needs. "MAking the most power" or "being the fastest" are not answer to this question either.
