I live in california, and about 20 miles from me is a scrap yard where i used to go for all my acura integra used parts. there are a few specialty shops and small private "project car" dealers. I went to one of these project dealers, and one of the cars, was a nice little blaze red mazda mx3 sohc 1.6 manuel transmision. at the time the paint had a little oxidation, which was easly taken care of. I purchased the car for 950$ (including tax). ive been driving it for about 3 months now and the only work ive done on it to ensure its reliability is a new water pump and timing belt (as well as general metenance oil changes, spark plugs ect). it has already been on a 7 hour road trip without any hastle. basically, do u think i got a good deal? it does have 153k miles on it, but as far as i can tell, it doesnt burn any oil at all.

heres a picture of the front (the white areas on the front bumper have been taken care of too):

Nice. A great deal for 950 bucks too. If the motor ever goes you can use a Protoge motor. They are a tad more powerful. The B6 that is in there is a great motor and should last way beyond 150K miles.

yea, i love it so much that i dont even drive my acura anymore, its considered "backup" as of now.

a few things ive done myself:

black style altezza taillights
grant racing steering wheel
alpine speakers (soon a sub too)
water pump (which was causing a coolant leak)
timing belt, power steering belt, and alternator belt
painted my manifold shroud with blue high heat enamel
painted my valve cover green with high heat enamel

alot more on the way, just gotta get a job
