for the suspension, the way it is setup on my car and the way it shows it in the book is diff.

in my car the bumpstop is up by my strut mounts all around the car, in the book it shows the bumpstop as down by the wheel. Which one is correct?

I thought this question could have been answered almost immediately

can someone just take a quick look at their car and tell me which way the bumpstop goes in?

The stock bumpstop is a part of the dust boot. If installing a aftermarket bump stop it doesn't really matter, but to answer your question it is near the strut mount.
If you think about it, when the strut is depressed (hit a big hole) it will get pushed up to the top anyway.
