Lol well the rust can be takin care of but I will save up for the total paint job and restoration after the motor is running and my exhaust setup is done.

The situation: Dropped in the BPT. The 95 MX-3 is a pain with wiring harnesses and found that the gtx was a direct fit with the 93 MX3, hoping it would cut corners with the gtr engine that I put in. Well Problem number one that I bumped into was the TPS being changed from a 3 plug to a 4 plug. Due to another wire needng to be hooked up from the VAF this was no problem afterwards. Now the real pain comes. The fuel harness. Well on the BPs it seems that 2 injectors fire at the same time (why they do this makes no sense if you don't believe me check out the wiring diagrams.). So the only wires that really matched where the yellow which ran cylinder 1 and 3 and the yellow with a black stripe which ran cylinder 2 and 4. From here all of the wires are completely different colors. Also I am going from an 8 plug to a 9 plug on the gtr. Pretty freaky. I will update pics soon.

Pink - Supposably the injector Relay

Cylinder 2 injector
Yellow + Black Stripe - Supposably going to ECU
Red - Supposably the injector Relay

Cylinder 3 injector
Yellow - Supposably going to ECU
Purple - Supposably the injector Relay

Ok so I had the six wires before, come to find out the other wires are clearly connected to the sensors in front and behind the thermostat housing. Blue and white and two black w/ brown stripes. Whole harness on the gtr figured out.

J-SPEC FUEL HARNESS

Image

Cylinder 1 injector
Yellow - ECU
Pink - Resistor

Cylinder 2 injector
Yellow + Black Stripe - ECU
Red - Resistor

Cylinder 3 injector
Yellow - ECU
Purple - Resistor

Cylinder 4 injector
Yellow + Black Stripe - ECU
Orange - Resistor

Coolant Temperature Sensor
Blue + White Stripe - ECU
Black + Brown - Ground

Coolant Temperature Sender
Black + Orange - Instrument Cluster

NOTE: The yellow wire on cylinder one and three injectors are merged as well as the yellow + black for cylinder 2 and 4 injectors seeing that the BP series ECU grounds out two cylinders at a time.

NOTE: Also the harness is not the same as a GTR from the UK.

I have been running into some good deals so if you guys want I can pinout most of the clips, except for distributor and VAF... They are the same.

Hopefully if I get the ECU and Wiring Loom I will take a picture of that and the motor in the car.

If anyone needs to know any good information with this swap talk to the crew at http://www.323gtx.co.uk

They have been helping me here in there. They are all good at this cause the UK has GTRs and GTXs.

NOTE: The J-Spec GTR has a different fuel pressure regulator than the Euro-Spec GTR.

NEW PICS

Basically I have the piping temp on to fit everything till I get my BOV and pipe with a flange but looks pretty good so far. Intercooler is proped up until my visit at home depot and than I shall have pics up of the Intercooler where it should be. Minor hack job on the bumper for now. Thanks to my neighbor Justin all of this is possible without me breaking stuff with an extra hand.

Well damn its been long since I updated this. I got the ECU and wiring harness and hopefully I will be able to start it in two weeks or three depending on the mony situation. But it shall be sick when it is done. i have to relocate my battery still. I also have to figure out what I am going to do with the radiator situation. I was thinkin stick with stock for now and change my pipe setup.

If you want to put a slimmer radiator for a same side intercooler like me, I found out an 88 Honda CRX Radiator fits just fine. Got one the other day, test fit it and saw room for 2.5 inch pipes :P on the side. 1337
