there is no such thing as flywheel on a automatic, they have a flex plate, and no it will not work, doesnt even look like a flywheel

just resurface or if you want have your k8 flywheel shaved down a bit

Ok, while on the topic. I want to change my k8 with a KLZE, and from reading on here I know I should get my flywheel resurfaced. When I talked to a friend of mine who is a mechanic, he said that if I resurfaced my flywheel then I would have to resurface other parts in my transmission as well. I have heard no mention of these other parts on this forum. What could these other parts be?

Normally when you resurface your flywheel you put in a new clutch. If your gunna do a ze swap and suse your old clutch then no need to resurface. But are you gunna use a k8 clutch with a KLZE...That will be horrible.

the only thing you'd need to resuface in the transmission is the flywheel and the pressure plate. But since you'd more then likely put in a new clutch all you need to resurface is the flywheel because you'll be using a brand new pressure plate. I'd suggest a new clutch because if you use a k8 clutch you'll probably last about a year - year and a half on it.

it will last a few months untill it starts to slip at WOT...at least run a klde clutch.

I've heard mixed opinions on even an OEM DE clutch, even on a DE, from the guys at the Mx6.com forums.
As for flywheel, if you get a new clutch, you'll NEED to get the flywheel resurfaces, otherwise it will void your clutch's warranty.
